It is vital for the growth and sustainability of the agricultural industry that the youth of our country is educated about what agriculturalists are doing. If we do not find more ways to help make younger generations more educated about agriculture, the industry will suffer.
With programs such as Ag in the Classroom and the program from this article From Farm to Cereal we can do just that. It is the jobs of agricultural communicators to provide information and to market the industry so children want to know more.
I know that we cannot do it all. However, if we just can get into one school for a single day imagine how many children we can talk with.
Younger generations of this country are vital to keeping the agricultural industry alive. If they aren’t educated properly how can we expect to prosper?
